Siemens: there will be no major layoffs in China
despite the global economic downturn, Siemens is confident that it will continue to grow at a high speed in the Chinese market in the future. Hao Ruiqiang, President of the microcomputer popularization company in China, said at the inauguration ceremony of the new microcomputer hydraulic servo universal testing machine, an advanced material testing machine, in Beijing yesterday, "China's infrastructure will not slow down because of the end of the Olympic Games." Hao Ruiqiang predicts that China's economy will still maintain a growth rate of 8% to 9% in the future, which determines the structure of the electronic universal tensile machine. He hopes that by 2010, 40% of Siemens' China market revenue will come from environmental protection related businesses
Siemens, whose reputation has been damaged by the bribery scandal, recently heard about layoffs in the process of business restructuring. Rong Huaide, President of Siemens' global Central Research Institute, said yesterday that the layoffs were more about the adjustment of the company's business positions. The blowout business in the polyurea market in China was also restructured according to the global business plan. It is expected that some job adjustments will be made this year, but there will be no large-scale layoffs
